Obama Cries, But We All Feel the Pain

Appeasement in Syria, failing to act on a line drawn in the blood-soaked sand. Russian military taking action in defense of the brutal Assad regime. Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, and other allies abandoned, left to go it alone. A devastating treaty with our enemy Iran which guarantees their acquiring a nuclear device sooner than later. Isis killing Christians, children, the handicapped, with all the efficiency and inspired hatred of the Nazis. Al Qaeda on the rise once more in Afghanistan. Europe strangled by Syrian refugees some of whom have already been arrested for raping several German women on New Years Eve. France reeling from two ISIS-inspired terrorist attacks. An ISIS attack in San Bernadino California. And now, North Korea tests a small H-Bomb...

And yet our pillar of strength...our President...is crying.
He's crying over gun control in the wake of a world on the verge of total calamity, and the outbreak of World War III.

Where were your tears, Mr. President, when 32 years old Kate Steinle was murdered by the bullet of an illegal immigrant in San Fransisco a year ago? Where were your tears for James Foley when ISIS beheaded him on You Tube (you went golfing). Where were your tears when so many were slaughtered by ISIS at the Paris Charlie Hebdo headquarters (you sent James Taylor in your stead). Where were you these past eight years when black youths are dying by the dozens sometimes on a weekly basis in your home state of Illinois from guns purchased on the black market (no amount of background checks will ever stop that violence...the background checks will only make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to defend themselves and their families against criminals, terrorists, and tyranny)?

But yesterday, instead of tending to the grave issues that threaten the very security not only of the US but the globe, you enact feeble gun control measures during a theatrical political performance in the in White House East Room in which you cried real tears. Perhaps the tears are truly heartfelt, and the response of a man who hates to see innocent life so senselessly snuffed out. We all cry for those dead children in Sandy Hook and their parents. Your tears are not unique.

But perhaps you're crying for different reasons. Perhaps you're crying over the dismal failure of your policies both foreign and domestic, over your failure to recognize the enemy for what it is...radical Islam. Perhaps you're crying because you have no choice but to take the weak route of executive action, because the American people do not like your policies as evidenced by the Republican take-over of congress. Perhaps you're crying, because during your tenure as Commander in Chief, Smith & Wesson stock has risen more than 900%. Maybe you're crying because you feel so utterly alone in your mission to transform America into something none of us recognize.

I wonder how many tears you would be crying if you could bypass the constitution entirely by
--Revoking free speech (Political Correctness)
--Taking away our guns and abolishing the 2nd Amendment (a tactic utilized by dictators ranging from Stalin to Hitler)
--Relying on a propaganda driven left wing media (The New York Times, MSNBC, etc.)
--The undermining of our police force (New York City, Ferguson, etc).
--Pitting black against white (Black Lives Matter)
--Gross expansion of the Democratic power base (amnesty for illegals, open borders, the taking in of unvetted refugees, the welfare state, Obamacare, etc.)
--Undermining the safety of the United States by empowering our enemies (release of Gitmo detainees, the swap of deserter Bowe Bergdhal for the Taliban 5, the Iran Nuclear Deal, etc.) 

But then, these things are already happening.
So I don't see why you're crying.

Perhaps you're crying because while your Gun Control press conference was taking place, the locks on the cells of 17 Gitmo detainees who are said to be so dangerous, you will not release their names until they have reached their new destinations for fear that the American people will rise up against the measure, was also occurring.

Maybe the stress and strain of it all is just too much. Maybe you just can't take it anymore. Perhaps when the tears start to flow so freely from the one person we all depend upon for strength and resolve in leading the free world against so many dangers, we are all in big trouble. Maybe we should all be shedding tears right about now.

World Wars a Sad Democratic Legacy

Say what you want about conservatives, but up to and including now, it has traditionally been a liberal Democratic President who's presided over the United States while the planet became engulfed in a World War.

Woodrow Wilson, a far left Democrat, refused to get involved in the First World War until it was obvious that Germany's unrestricted use of submarine warfare would starve Western Europe.

Franklin D. Roosevelt, also a Socialist Democrat, stood by idly during the Spanish Civil War while Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy murdered thousands of Spanish innocents. He still refused to fight Fascism when the Second World War broke out, and he knew full well that Jews were being relocated to concentration "death" camps. Only when America's mainland was struck in 1941 did he have no choice but to declare war on the Axis powers.

Now we have Barack Obama, a leftist Democrat, who has forcibly made the US withdraw from its responsibilities on the world stage over his own political agenda--a dangerous policy that has directly resulted in thousands of Christians being slaughtered overseas.

Unlike the previous two aforementioned Presidents, he's gone a step farther than merely avoiding war with an obvious enemy like Radical Islam. He has signed treaty-like agreements with our enemy, Iran and taken great pains to empty out the GITMO detention center in Cuba. He's also made decisions of staggering ineptitude, like trading several major Al Qaeda players for a treasonous Bowe Bergdhal.

A Russian jet fighter was shot down over Turkey earlier today. Some are already saying that the incident is a part of Putin's overall strategy to see the world engulfed in a World War in which the Russian leader feels confident he can crush an ineffectual NATO and at the same time, rebuild the Soviet empire.

Why does NATO stand the chance of being ineffectual?

Because Barack Obama is ineffectual and the USA needs to lead NATO. 

The world security slope is indeed slippery. And the world is currently sliding rapidly down into a Third World War which presents the very real possibility of being fought with nuclear weapons.

Mr. President, wake up and be a leader before it's way too late.

On the Ground Observations from Terrorist Rattled Europe

Couple observations.

First, Bloobmberg reports today that Hemingway's 1964 posthumously published memoir about Paris is flying off both the digital and paper shelves in France, particularly Paris. Amazing the support for Papa's romantic vision of the City of Lights as A Movable Feast all these years later during such complicated and dangerous times. A time in which, like during WWII, the Russians are allying with France to eradicate a common enemy as murderous if not worse than Hitler's Nazis.

According to Bloomberg, the renewed interest in the great work is a "show of defiance" against the recent Radical Islamist terror attacks and Radical Islam in general which would do anything possible to eliminate a way of life for drinkers, writers, poets, artists and more. Let's face it, the bastards would make a mosque out of the Deux Magot.

Papa would love the renewed interest in the wake of this new war of freedom vs. terror. Speaking of another time in history he famously stated, "Fascism is a lie told by bullies." No writer can truly write under Fascist law. Same goes for Sharia Law, as well as the Political Correctness which has afflicted the USA and been perpetuated so dangerously by Barack Obama and his mainstream media minions.

So Papa would be proud.

One wonders however, what he might have thought (off the record, of course) of the present POTUS. My guess is he would have smiled, shrugged his shoulders, and said, "You get what you goddamned pay for, pal." He then would have belly laughed and poured another glass of vino rosso (or rouge). "Don't take life so seriously," he would have said, slapping me on the back. "You never know when that old whore death is gonna come knocking at your door."

In other matters, today, I came face to face with a group of Muslim young men freshly transplanted from their home territory. I stood in line at the grocery store with them. They seemed giddy and relieved to have made it this far. They had a leader with them. A fixer. A man who was about my age, and who was coaching them on what to buy and how to buy it (no pork products). They spoke in their native tongue, and looked healthy and fit and not to badly attired with nice watches and jeans. The leader, who spoke very little English and zero Italian, was confused when the cashier wanted to know if he wanted a plastic bag with which to carry his purchases. He just looked at her like she had two heads. I reached out, grabbed the plastic bag, and gave it to him. He smiled. I wondered if these transplants had wives and children waiting for them somewhere. But there was nothing in their food and supply purchases that would have indicated as such. No baby cereal or diapers. Just stuff a grown young man might want to eat and utilize. And certainly no booze.

Syrian refugees come up from the south?

Almost certainly.

But the refugee part might be misleading. More like young men fleeing a civil war in which they would have to choose between one of two evil sides. I could only hope their intentions were benign. But I can only wonder considering the recent events in Paris. Vigilance is key here. This world war is only just getting started. 

Oh, and by the way, the fixer attached to the young transplants paid with a Mastercard.

Go figure...

UPDATE 11/20:
 As of this morning, the US State Department warns American travelers that Florence's "Duomo Cathedral" and Rome's Vatican are now listed as viable ISIS targets based on recent intelligence reports. Italian military and police have now ramped up security accordingly.

Is President Obama in Control?

I (try to) approach my politics as an indie. Despite what writer/journalist and Ernest Hemingway's 3rd wife, Martha Gellhorn, opined a long time ago about "Fuck all that objectivity shit," I need to keep an open mind to both sides, resist the Fascism of political correctness, and go with my writing gut.

But watching today's Barack Obama press conference--subject ISIS and the Paris attack--broadcast from the G20 Summit in Turkey (and doing so from Europe) was a very painful experience (one journalist cavalierly queried, "Why can't we take out these bastards?"). The leader of the free world not only seemed out of touch with reality, his answers were filibuster-long, disjointed, devoid of hard facts, defensive and, in a word, rambling.

In my opinion, we see a foreign policy failure unmatched since Chamberlain in the months leading up to WWII.

Critical questions loom:

--Is the US prepared to handle an attack like that which has consumed France?
--Is taking in 10,000 Syrian refugees, 90% of whom are fighting age young men, really a good idea at this time?
--Since we know precisely where the majority of ISIS members live and thrive, shouldn't we enter into a series of decisive blows that obliterates them, and neutralizes their capabilities overnight, despite the President's sentiment of not wanting to engage in an "immediate solution"  (Huh?)?
--Is the President, not pushing moderate Muslim nations in the Middle East to both fight Radical Islam and take in Muslim refugees because of his new alliance with Iran?
--Was it wise of him to release more Gitmo detainees only a couple of days after the Paris strike (Is this the result of his new alliance with Cuba?)
--Is the President truly concerned with the safety of America, or with his own political (philosophical) agenda?
--Is Barack Obama in control?

France's Hollande Says Attack an 'Act of War'

Despite a US State Department claim yesterday that ISIS is being "contained," a massive terrorist attack was carried out in Paris last evening killing upwards of 158 and wounding scores more.

In a statement just moments ago, French President Hollande  stated that the attack was an "act of war" and that France would show no pity for those responsible. While an ISIS cell has been identified as that responsible party behind the attack, the President has declared a state of emergency, closed all borders, and initiated the first curfew in the country since WWII.

German Journo Witness to ISIS Planned "Nuclear Holocaust"

Jürgen Todenhöfer, the only western journalist to have been allowed access to ISIS strongholds in both Syria and Iraq and live to tell the tale, has a dire warning for Israel, Christians, and the West in general, and which he spells out in his new book, Inside IS – Ten Days in the Islamic State. The radical Muslim terrorists, who were once referred to as "the JV team" by Barack Obama, plan on slaughtering hundreds of millions of people. Already formidably armed, ISIS is actively seeking out nuclear weapons and other WMDs. Once having acquired them, they plan on using the weapons against Israel and other targets in the West, ushering in a nuclear holocaust of Biblical proportions.

In his book, the author writes, ISIS is a “nuclear tsunami preparing the largest religious cleansing in history.” The army seeks world domination and an eradication of democracy and all religious belief systems that conflict with their radical ideology. Says Todenhöfer, "The west is drastically underestimating the power of ISIS."

Freedom Fighters Volunteer to Fight ISIS

You might have heard by now that President Barack Obama, while addressing the class of graduating officers at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut last week, pointed to Climate Change as America's most immediate and present threat to our national security. While I have no doubt that climate change is real (several climate shifts have occurred over the last 1,000 years alone), my staunch opinion is this: you don't turn to your wife in the middle of the night and ask her to turn down the thermostat while a masked gunman is standing at the foot of your bed.

On this Memorial Day 2015 it's important to realize that while they gain ground and slaughter innocents thousands of miles away, ISIS is determined to create a Radical Islamist State in the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. And they are succeeding. It's true the US might not be able to stomach another ground war right now since we've been sending our soldiers to fight two major conflicts over the past fifteen years. But like the Nazis of WWII, ISIS will have to be dealt with sooner or later, and the US will inevitably have to lead the way. The coalition the President claims to have set up among some of the Arab states has proven ineffective to the point of failure. In the end, the political campaign promise to withdraw all troops from Iraq has proven catastrophic.

But some people aren't willing to stand on the sidelines and watch a brutal enemy who willingly decapitates children, get away with cold blooded and often gruesome murder. Like the Abraham Lincoln Brigade that was formed to fight the Fascists in Spain in the mid-1930s, men and women are volunteering to take up arms against the Radical Islamist threat before they are able to form a viable state. A state that, when solidified, could easily be backed by Iran and in the process, afforded funds to build a considerable war arsenal which will include air and sea warfare capabilities.

Sound ridiculous?

When you consider the Nazi Party essentially began in a beer hall by a group of half-witted antisemitic agitators, a formidable ISIS army capable of taking on anything the US will have to dish out doesn't sound all that "JV-ish."

While we hear about the hundreds of western young adults trying to join the enemy cause, dozens of right-minded westerners, including famous Hollywood actor Michael Enright, are paying their own way to join up with Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in order to prevent the black flag of ISIS from flying. Make no mistake, what's happening in Africa and elsewhere is the start of a world Radical Islamist vs. Judeo/Christian war, and the sooner a realistic plan is put in place to exterminate these cockroaches, the better.

Maybe the volunteer army of freedom fighters isn't going to make a dent in the ISIS steamrolling push, but at least it represents a start. It also serves as a reminder on this Memorial Day, that to some people, dishing out hard-earned cash to risk their life is well worth the price of freedom.

Global US Troop Deployment Inevitable

I've been saying for some time now that the seeds of a major war are being sewn in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Korea. While I'm not convinced the Russians wish for a major conflict, North Korea, ISIS, and the Iranians might as well hold up flags that say, "Bring it on, Bro!" 

As for the Middle East situation, it's looking more and more like a nuclear deal is not happening. At least a deal that makes sense in terms of denying the Iranians a bomb. My guess is they either already possess a nuke or are fast on their way regardless. ISIS is spreading like a cancer and active recruitment for the radical Islamist terrorist group has now reached all points west. While Christians are beheaded by the dozens, Israel can't stand by idly for long while as their assured destruction is birthed inside a deep not so secret "secret" underground bunker facility in Fordo.

Meanwhile, you'll recall the Russians I mentioned who don't want war? Well, they've just made a deal to sell the Iranians missiles to go with the nukes they apparently don't have or ummm, don't want. And don't forget our Naval Fleet tracking an Iranian convoy off the coast of Yemen. In the words of the State Department, we just want to protect the flow of commerce. Huh? The joint is on fire. What commerce? Welcome to the new world order where a US that leads from behind or not at all, invites a world that crumbles into chaos and quite possibly, WWIII.

As if to confirm my suspicions, Maj. Gen. Jeffrey L. Bannister, Commander of the 10th Mountain Division in  Watertown, NY,  said this week that a major deployment is being planning for 13 months from now, and the destinations will not only include Afghanistan and Iraq, "where division soldiers have been a fixture since 9/11," but also Europe and possibly South Korea.

To quote the General, "This (deployment) is part of our assurance to our allies. You can't just pull out; you have to assure them."

The 13 month time-line makes sense since the Obama administration, in its attempt to secure a Nobel Peace Prize for its appeasement to Iran, wants nothing to do with what is shaping up to be a well planned murder of global proportions. He would prefer to kick the can to the next president whoever he or she may be.

Egypt's SISI Strikes ISIS

Egypt officially enters the war against ISIS in retaliation for the Islamist terrorist network's public beheading of 21 of its Coptic Christians. New Egyptian President El-SiSi who ousted the Obama-backed Morsi and its terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, vowed revenge for the brutal murders by pounding the terrorists inside Libya. Al-Sisi has also called the fragile international coalition to step up their campaign against the extreme Islamist terrorists who are now only 500 miles from the southern coast of Italy and have vowed to "conquer" its capital, Rome

While President Obama continues to push for a deal with Iran which will inevitably result in their development of a nuclear weapon, Yemen has also fallen to Iranian-backed terrorists. As little as four months ago, Obama declared his anti-terrorist approach (if you want to call it that) a "success" in Yemen. Meanwhile, the American diplomats currently serving there were forced to abandon the country so quickly, they left the keys in the ignitions of their getaway vehicles. Meanwhile Obama steadfastly refuses to identify the Islamist terrorists for who they are, while at the same time, snubbing and displaying outright hostility at Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu. Mr. Obama, who promised an entirely transparent presidency is doing just that...he is being openly transparent about where his sympathies lie.

Jordanian Retaliation a Lesson for Obama Passivity

Jordan's King Abdullah II has taken a defiant stand against the Islamic Extremists who brutally burned alive Lt. Kasasbeh, 26, the Jordanian air force pilot who was shot down over ISIS held territory some months ago. While Jordan had considered a swap for the pilot in exchange for two Iraqi-born Islamist terrorists being held in a Jordanian prison, the exchange fell through when proof of life could not be determined. In the end, it was discovered that ISIS was lying through their teeth during the negotiation process since the pilot had already been burned to death in front of cameras on January 3rd.

Not only has Abullah promised severe military retaliation against ISIS for their senseless slaughter of Kasasbeh, he, along with Tribal Jordanians, has distinguished himself from the passive President Obama by, one, clearly identifying the enemy by referring to them as Islamic Extremists, and two, immediately ordering the execution of the two Iraqi terrorists who were originally to be swapped.

President Obama, on the other hand, has released dozens of Islamic terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility, upwards of 20% of whom have re-engaged in terrorist activities or are currently seeking out ways to re-enter the fight. Five of these terrorists were exchanged for US Army soldier, Bowe Bergdhal, who is currently being charged as a deserter. It should also be noted that while Obama has condemned the recent beheadings of several US journalists and aide workers operating within Syria, he has taken no retaliatory action against ISIS, other than strategic air strikes, which have proven largely ineffective.

Profound Denial or Sympathy for the Devil?

President Obama appeared to be profoundly disturbed yesterday when queried about the Radical Muslim attacks on the Paris-based Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine. Despite overwhelming evidence that the murderous attacks resulting in 12 killed and 11 wounded were carried out by militarily trained radical Islamists, he refused to refer to them as such.

Meanwhile, former governor of Vermont, Howard Dean, in speaking with CNN about the alarming global spread of radical Muslim Extremism attempted to unrealistically undermine the severity of the situation by calling them a "cult."

ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other radical factions bent on destroying Christians, Jews, Westerners, and just about anyone who does not agree with their fanatical beliefs and who control large swaths of territory in the Middle East, possess billions of dollars in cash, oil reserves, military equipment, Internet networks, a slick online propaganda magazine, and much more, is hardly a cult. It is a formidable "Jihadist" global power bent on world domination.

Radical Islam's Long Planned Murder

No one likes to be the bearer of bad news. Certainly our President doesn't like to issue bad news. In fact, he'd rather retreat from it to the golf course, or downplay the severity of an international crisis by referring to something like ISIS as the "JV team" or even in recent weeks, refusing to call them what they are: Radical Muslims.

When the embassy in Benghazi was attacked two years ago, it was President Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who dismissed all evidence of an organized attack by Radical Muslims, and instead blamed the murder of several innocent American diplomats and military personnel on an anti-Islamist video that was circulating YouTube (in other words, he was blaming America). It was of course, a lie perpetrated by liars, and an absurd one at that. 

Now, we have ISIS, a Radical Islamist State or Caliphate, that is not only beheading innocent men, women, and children at will, they are building up an army that is closing in on 50K strong. They are also funding their operations with stolen oil reverses to the tune of $3 million per day. At present they are recruiting some of the world's most talented computer hackers in order to wage a cyber war with the west.

In the meantime, we have a major domestic problem in the form of two porous borders, both north and south. Just last week a reporter dressed in a Bin Laden costume casually walked across the southern border into the United States. Yet, the present administration is refusing to do anything about this lack of security in fear of losing their voter base come November and ultimately in 2016. Some naysayers will argue this point by saying, we have the largest police presence ever stationed on the borders, while others will say it's impossible to build walls that large. I say, declare a State of Emergency to exist on both borders, establish a formidable military presence, and in the meantime, engage in the aggressive deportation of the 11 million known illegals presently shacking up in this country while revoking the passports and student visas of questionable aliens. Yes, this will take a toll on the Democrats and their voting base, but national security shouldn't be a political issue determined by professional politicians.

When I think about this administration in years to come, I won't see the dismembered head of journalist James Foley resting on his own torso in the unforgiving desert sun. I will instead see Obama's smiling face as he went golfing only minutes after addressing reporters about the barbarous act of murder and war. A display of unimaginable disinterest if not callousness from a man who refuses to lead and who seems particularly bent on dismantling the US as a world power.

Two years remain in this Presidency and in terms of national security, they will be our most vulnerable and most dangerous since the outbreak of WWII. Here's a sampling of what we can expect:

--An attack on our homeland that will come in the form of a dirty bomb, or even a crude nuclear device.
--An all out cyber attack that will severely injure our power grid, delete bank accounts, dismantle our communications systems, and more.
--Attacks by Radical Islamists in Europe where military might has largely been depleted due to the costs of socialism and socialist programs.
--Attacks on the world's transportation systems, including trains and planes.
--Meanwhile, Russian, China, and other regimes who have already taken advantage of a weak, if not dangerously inept President, will make their moves in order to grab what they can while the taking is good.

This is not to be alarmist, but it is a reality that all of us are going to have to deal with one way or another. Like Hemingway said of the Nazis and their power grabs of the late 1930s, "A world war is certainly coming. It's like a long planned murder." And that's what is presently happening right before our eyes: a long planned murder by barbarians who dress in black, fly the black banner of Radical Islam, and who have one goal and one goal only: to administer the total destruction of the Judeo-Christian establishment, Europe, and the United States of America.
