it's amazing the amount of writers, editors, publishers, and agents I've seen come and go in this business over the close to 25 years I've been at it full-time. Their problem? They were impatient and wanted success immediately. Some got it, but then lost it, and had no coping skills to stay in the game. In other words, they had no hope of persevering or surviving.
