Episode No. 820: Some Things to Expect in 2024

Some thoughts and predictions on what to expect for me and for writing/publishing in general in 2024. Couple rants mixed in too, Zandri style (grin)!

Making the TikTok Plunge

In general, I despise social media. I find it anxiety provoking and unpleasant. But as writers selling to a global audience, it's a necessary evil. As a rule, I rarely peer at anyone else's posts. I download what I need to and leave it at that. That's not to say I don't check in with some of my favorite writers out there like Lee M. Goldberg, Charlie Salzberg, or RJ Belsky. It's just that I don't need to waste hours staring at everyone else's posts. After avoiding it forever, I've now also taken the plunge into TikTok, God help me.

Kindle Vella, an Update!!

Kindle Vella remains a lucrative venture if you're willing to put out the material just like the serial masters of the pulp generations back in the 1930's 40's and 50's. I'm one of those writers, so I've been feeding the beast and being paid well for my efforts. Much better, in fact, that any one publisher could pay me.

I Just Finished Another Novel!!!

I've been very productive since my arrival back from Turkey. But now I feel like I could sleep for 12 straight hours. Maybe I will!!!!
