This week (or last) PW announced no less than a ton of layoffs and firings at Penguin/Random House. Some of these top senior editors have worked with the rich and famous on their various books. Most were offered a severance package. But on the day the article appeared, Random House was running an ad for an assistant editor on LinkedIn. Oh my.
